I am a one person company (OPC) that does research in both cryptography and cryptanalysis with the aim to create new products and/ or services.
Break existing codes.
Anyone that designs new codes must also try to break those same codes. Why? If the designer does not do it, someone else will and if they can crack the given code, then, what was designed is worthless. The obvious reason is that such code offers no security at all.
Cryptanalysis is the art and science of breaking codes. In the past, codes relied on a well- kept secret. If you knew the secret, you could break the code. Today, the vast majority of codes are based on mathematical problems whose solutions are unknown or take a very long time to find in any given computer experiment. As a result, discovering a fast solution for any existing code requires an ingenious intuition or the creation of innovative mathematical ideas.
